We are pleased to announce that Point Network will be participating in the Solana Ignition Hackathon that is taking place in October 2021.
According to blockworks.co, this edition marks the fourth Solana hackathon and is expected to attract even more participants after its third hackathon brought in over 13,000 developers.
“We’ve seen this explosive growth in the Solana ecosystem and a lot of that doesn’t come from the hackathon, but the hackathons are a focal point to get everyone together to build a product and showcase what they’re working on,” Yakovenko said, Co-Founder & CEO of Solana Labs.
Point Network will be presenting its first dApp of its family of solutions consisting of the first decentralized, censorship-resistant social network on Solana, Point Social.
At Point Social content creators will have a direct connection to their audiences, communities will have standard moderation tools to have control over their content and memberships, but individual people can still exercise their right to free speech by posting messages on their wall or creating their own communities.
Point Network is a holistic implementation of the web 3.0 vision. We’ve designed a web3 framework to serve as a unifying infrastructure for all such decentralized projects, with our focus on the browser and supported decentralized storage, along with other dApps.
